Clogged drains are a common issue in homes and businesses alike. Pipe drains were created to handle water flow, not solid materials. Many issues arise when excessive paper, hair, solid foods, etc. are forced through your pipes. You must be careful of what items you put down your drains. Most clogged drains are caused by hair and soap residues from your showers and sinks in your bathroom or the grease in the kitchen. Know that help is a phone call away. Leaking faucets can be annoying to hear, and due to increased water bills, take a hit on your wallet. There are several reasons for leaky faucets, such as corroded valve seals or gaskets-these assist with keeping the water contained until you turn on your faucet for use. You can attempt to stop the leak by shutting off your water to the sink, turning on the faucet to deplete all water in the pipe. Your next step- use a screwdriver or Allen key to remove the faucet handle. If there is a nut within the faucet, check to see if it’s loose. If so, you may be able to tighten with pliers and stop the leak. There are more steps if that did not fix the leak, but why not call Rex Miles Plumbing and let us get the job done. Our clients are our best word of mouth. Click hereto see what they are saying and call us today!

Garbage disposals make our lives easier by eliminating waste in our garbage bins and landfills. Garbage disposals break-up debris such as soft foods, liquids, etc. Think of it this way: if an infant can eat it, your garbage disposer can too! Many of our service calls for garbage disposal repair is due to misuse. Things like: grease, bones, fibrous vegetables (potato peels/onion skin), pasta/rice, coffee grounds are a huge no-no for a properly functioning disposal. If you need repair, call us today: 760-244-2391
There are several types of water heaters on the market today: electric, natural gas, propane, and tankless. Depending on the type of water heater and its age, your water heater is the culprit for those cold showers. Electric heaters have two elements- top and lower. The issue may be that the lower element is not working and only heating the top of your water tank OR both elements have fizzled out, which equals no hot water at all. With a gas water heater, the most common issue is the dip tube. This tube is a piece of pipe that sends your water to the bottom of the tank to get heated- think of boiling a pot of water on the stove. With time, the dip tube can get shorter, allowing cold water to mix with the hot. To check this, you need a reliable plumber. Rex Miles Plumbing has you covered! 760-244-2391
This is one of the most common questions asked of plumbers! We have found upon inspection; this is caused by the flapper not closing or the seal around the flush valve. The flapper seals the water into your toilets tank and stops the water from “running” into the actual toilet bowl. If your flapper is not closing, you can jiggle the handle, and that may fix the issue. If it does not fix the issue, it may be due to a worn flapper that needs to be replaced. Call Rex Miles Plumbing, and we will fix it fast.

I've relied on Rex Miles Plumbing a couple of times and each time was a great experience. First, they replaced all three toilets in my house with ones that flush much easier and seem to be saving me water out here in Apple Valley. Also, had them look at my water heater because it seemed to run out of hot water fast. They just adjusted the setting and didn't even try to sell me a new one. They said mine was fine and is actually the only kind they "trust to install." It's been working great ever since.
Just the other day the garbage disposal was leaking water. Rex himself came over and fixed it in less time than it took me to get all of my stuff out from under the sink.
I would recommend this plumber to my mother and my grandmother. Each encounter was pleasant and the cost was reasonable.
